Menus

Great Menus We offer a broad and exotic range of meals for our gorgeous little ones and often propose dishes that are very unusual in an attempt to add to their everyday experience of food. This is always in the interest of expanding their culinary horizons!
Please note that all vegetables are produced and purchased locally. They are used whilst still fresh and replenished regularly. All soups, pies, bakes, stir-fried meals, and so on are prepared using fresh vegetables. Garlic and seasoning are added for their health inducing qualities and as an alternative to salt, which is never used. We always serve open sandwiches and filled rolls the day after food delivery, ensuring the children receive these products as fresh as possible. On these occasions, we obviously digress from the set menu, but staff will inform you and it will be noted on the menu board, located in central reception. All deviations will be highlighted on the menu boards and staff will endeavour to inform you directly of any changes.

Menus are frequently re-arranged, re- shuffled and re-organised with new ideas and suggestion taken from staff, children, parents and appropriate external professionals. Feel free to make such suggestions at any time. We will endeavour to accommodate all individual needs and specific, personal dietary requirements.

"Excellent, home cooked, fresh food; an inventive and mouth-watering set of menus."

Menus are rotated each week. We cover five main weekly food group requirements and you will note that each week of the menus include:  a meat dish; a vegetarian dish; a fish dish; a chicken dish and homemade soup.

We love your children almost as much as you do and we want them to be happy, energetic, full of liveliness and to have a good appetite for food. We only serve water and milk during the day and sometimes we offer lightly flavoured milkshake as a treat and a healthy substitute. The children receive fresh fruit  or vegetables at least once a day. In the interests of looking after their teeth, we do not serve our children sweets of any description in the nurseries. As such, afternoon snack is designed to be a savoury nibble.

Health and Hygeine

All staff are trained in Health and Hygiene issues and all have the required Elementary Food Handling certificate for the occasional management of food. Local and national guidelines are followed in terms of monitoring food temperatures, kitchen cleanliness and so on. Environmental Health officials who carry out spot- check inspections frequently visit the establishment.
