Here's our newsletter for March and April 2009

  • Activities Clothing

Please ensure your child has appropriate footwear and clothing for all activities at nursery.  Children will be out in the garden and may require waterproof jackets and shoes.

  • Reminder

I would like to remind parents/carers to inform the nursery if your child is absent.  If at 10am the nursery has not received information regarding an absent child then parents/contact points shall be contacted until the staff have an explanation regarding the absence. I would thank all parents for their assistance in this matter.

  • Signing In

Please ensure your child is signed in and out of nursery.

  • Refurbishment

The Disney Club has now been painted and the children have a lovely new wooden table and chairs.  We shall be looking for new curtains to be fitted ASAP.

  • Music Money

Please can all parents ensure that music money is paid on time.  Helenna is paid monthly and recently we have not had enough to pay her the parent’s share of the bill. Please see Susan Faulds if you want to know how much money you owe.

  • TOYS, TOYS, TOYS, TOYS, TOYS,

Children should be encouraged to leave all toys at home unless your child has show & tell.  Toys brought from home often cause difficulties with other children.

  • Health Promoting Nursery

We are pleased to have our new Open Buffet Styled Snack in operation, we think it's lovely and hopefully the children will too.

The Health promoting team are currently working towards carrying out Audit’s of our physical play both indoors and out. (info to follow)

Open Snack Bar – Example for 1 week

Monday: Dried fruit, pitta bread, cucumber, lettuce, carrot, tuna. Diluted fresh juice or milk.

Tuesday: Pitta bread, cheese, tomato, banana, apple. Milk or water.

Wednesday: Natural yoghurt, grapes, orange, banana, raisins, pineapple and banana loaf. Diluted fresh juice or water

Thursday: Bread sticks, carrot, peppers, cucumber, toasted muffins, orange. Milk or water.

Friday: Pancakes, raspberries, cheese sticks, tomato, grapes and apple. Diluted fresh juice or water.
